10 Days of Juicing

For the last 10 days, I've been involved in an experiment with juicing.

After doing a bit of research on the topic, I bought an Omega 8006 juicer. I've been juicing everything I can get my hands on, including: carrots, grapes, apples, cabbage, broccoli, cucumber, zucchini, kale, beets, radishes, ginger, celery, and the list goes on and on.

About two days into this experiment, I noticed my energy level rose dramatically. Over the last several months, I've become increasingly more exhausted every single day. I had started taking naps daily that would last up to 4 hours. Some days, I'd spend 16 hours in bed. This was not out of laziness but rather a profound exhaustion that seemed without cause.

In the last ten days, I've only taken one brief nap. Aside from that, I've been energetic and alert most of the day. Today, I got up at 5AM, full of energy and even went to the gym. I'm still not tired. This is not like me.

The Evolution Continues

The feeling of accomplishment from quitting chewing tobacco is unexpected. It was an addiction that I accepted as part of who I am for so long, the thought of quitting was surreal. So this was the third in a series of steps that I'm taking to make dramatic changes to my life. The first step was giving up all drugs (mostly marijuana) almost ten years ago.

The Other Side

Day nine free of tobacco. While I did require the patch, I was able to do the thing I've been dreading for so long, give up chewing tobacco.
